Hyacinthia Monica Altaha, age 40, of San Carlos, AZ passed away on January 31, 2014 at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ She was born in San Carlos, AZ on August 22, 1973. Monica was a hard working woman and had worked at several jobs during her lifetime. She had worked as a cashier at the San Carlos Lake Store, she taught Sunday School at Canyon Day Miracle Church and was a Teachers Aid for Seven Mile Headstart.. She also worked at Hondah Resort Casino in Whiteriver as a waitress at one time. Monica also kept the booking for San Carlos Service Station. She had many talents but mostly enjoyed weaving Burden Baskets. She loved to cook for her family and special events. She enjoyed being outdoors in the mountains and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sisters Leslie and Sylvia Altaha. Monica is survived by her husband Wesley Joe Altaha, her daughters; Lindsay and Christabelle Altaha, her father Robert Wilson Sr. her four sisters, her three brothers. Wake will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 4:00 P.M. at the Altaha’s residence/Chinatown in San Carlos, AZ Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the San Carlos Miracle Church in San Carlos. Interment will be at Chinatown Cemetery in Peridot, AZ
