George J. Maslovar, age 96, a long time resident of Little Acres, Arizona passed away on December 22, 2013 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born on March 11, 1917 , in Anaconda, Montana. He moved to Claypool, Arizona in 1926. George graduated from Miami High School before going to serve his country in the Army Air Corps as a flight engineer, during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He then began a career in the civil service. He spent many years working overseas. He worked in Guam, Italy, Vietnam and California until 1972. George was a member of the Scottish Rite 32 Degree Mason, the BPOE Elks, the VFW and the Serbian National Federation. He was proceeded in death by his wife Billy, sisters Ellen Faison, Stella Maslovar, Cecelia Anna Hattaway and Suzi McNair. George is survived by his daughter Jackie L McEwen (Rick) of San Ramon, CA and his son George John Maslovar II (Anita) of Lubbock, TX., sisters Betty Jane Howell, Eva Waggoner, Joyce Ward and Bonnie Lere Perkins. A memorial service were held on December 28, 2013 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel at 5:00 P.M.
