Consuelo C. Ortega

Consuelo C. Ortega age 86 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her residence in Globe, AZ She was born in Globe, Arizona on November 22, 1926. The daughter of Juan and Amelia (Lopez) Contreras. Consuelo attended school at Noftsger Hill and Globe High School. She worked for Nella’s Florist for 15 years to help support her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and being outdoors working in her garden. She also liked the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Ortega, her parents Juan and Amelia Contreras, her brothers; Richard, Edward and Ernie Contreras, her sisters; Helen Jimenez and Amelia Hererra and her grandson Lukeas Ortega. Consuelo is survived by her children Joe Ortega (Patty) and Maria Rasmussen both of Globe, AZ, and her daughter Florence “Kay” Contreras (Gary) of Phoenix, AZ, her sisters; Esther Sifuentes (Rick) and Virgie Canizales (Fred), her brothers Lawrence Contreras (Jossie) and John Contreras (Jean), six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 8:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Cath. Church in Globe, AZ Rosary will follow at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery in Globe, AZ
