Amelia Salas Macias

Amelia Salas Macias, 89, of Globe, passed away on July 14, 2013 at her residence in Globe, AZ She was born to the late Rosalio and Maria Mendez Salas on July 2, 1924. She married the Late Daniel M Macias in 1955, and they lived together in Globe, Az. Amelia worked with her husband who owned a Dry Cleaning business in Miami, Az. She then joined him again, later in life, to work for the Globe Unified school District where they both retired from. As a hobby, Amelia loved to bake cakes, especially for Weddings. Amelia was also a member of the Holy Angel’s Fidelity group. Amelia is survived by three sons: Danny Macias and his wife Sheila, Michael Macias and Joseph Macias and wife Audrey, all of Globe, her three brothers; Manuel, Cruz and Carlos Salas, two sisters Rosa Salas and Belen Monarrez, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Rosalio and Maria Salas, her spouse Daniel M. Macias, three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be on Monday, July 22, 2013, at 8:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, AZ Followed by Rosary at 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. at the church Interment will be at Globe Cemetery.
