Johnny David Castaneda was born August 14, 1948 in Miami, Arizona to Abraham, and Dalia Castaneda. After attending local schools he went to work for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company at the age of 18. Johnny retired from mining after fourteen years and then opened his own roofing company, JC Roofing. As a young man Johnny had a love of horses. He started bareback riding, and bull riding. He made the 8 second ride many times winning buckles, and many jackpot rodeo’s. He also enjoyed going riding with his cowboy buddies after he hung his hat up from the competition level. Johnny met Debra Dee Tucker when she was fifteen and on July 17, 1968 they were married and started a long wonderful life together. Johnny was very proud of his two sons John Castaneda Jr. (JC), and Mark Castaneda, JC has three children, Debra, Justin Castaneda and Brendan Coleman. Mark has four children, Brittany Porter, Brandon, Michael, and Bailee Castaneda, and 1 Grandchild Carson Porter. Johnny had 3 brothers, Abie, Bobby, and Benny Castaneda who preceded him in death, along with his parents. In January of 2003 Johnny received a liver transplant which gave him another 10 productive years of life with his friends and family. On July 2, 2013 Johnny was reunited with his family in the Lords House. He will be missed by many, and will never be forgotten. We will miss you, and know that you will save us all a place with you. Rest in peace, and God bless you. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 9:30 A.M. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Followed by Rosary at 10:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 A.M. at the church. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery, Globe, AZ
