Martin D. Ricklefs age 73, of Globe, AZ went to be with his Lord on May 24, 2013. He was born in Emmetsburg Iowa on December 10, 1939, son of Alfred Peter and Arlene Marie (Matthiesen) Ricklefs. Martin came to Globe in 1957 to work for Killian Printing Service. From 1961 to 1963 he served in the U.S. Army with the Security Agency. He returned to Globe in 1964 and became Co-Owner and operator of PABSCO Printing Co. Inc. He later sold the business in 1985. In 1968 he became a volunteer with the Globe Fire Department, retiring from there in 1998 a Fire Chief. Martin was very active with the Piranha Swim Team. In his retirement years he went to the White Mountain area to camp and fish. He worked from 1999 to 2005 for the U.S. Forest Service at Signal Peak Lookout Tower and was also a driver for Lamont Mortuary. Martin is survived by his wife of 41 years Pat Ricklefs, his son Douglas Ricklefs, (Iryna), his daughter Kandi Gabler (Justin), his two sister Darlene Allen and Fern Rouse (Gordon), his two grandchildren Darian and Trace Gabler. Martin was a treasured friend, respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him. Memorial Services for Martin D. Ricklefs will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to: Gila House – P.O. Box 2174 – Globe, AZ 85502
