Marion Allene Powell

Marion Allene Powell, age 84, of Boone Colorado passed away on May 11, 2013 at Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO. She was born in Ralls, Texas on November 11, 1928. Daughter of Harley Ewing and Viola Clara (Ihrig) Nunn She worked as a Dry Goods Manager for Pete’s Country Store and A.J. Bayles from 1969 until she retired. She enjoyed playing solitaire, working out crossword puzzles, an avid reader of novels and The Enquier. Her favorite color was purple. She was a wonderful cook and her specialty being Southern cooking. Allene always had a smile on her face. She was full of energy and always ready to have fun with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and very proud of her Mormon faith. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family and everyone she loved. She was preceded in death by her two brothers; A.B. Nunn and Junior Nunn, three sisters; Verna Whitman, Elverta Nowell and May Dickison, three grandsons Shane Powell, Lynn Stewart and Scott Shimimoto, Allene is survived by her children Peggy Miller (Lyle), William Powell, (Sue), Chuck Powell (Virginia) of Globe, AZ, Beverly Powell (Kathy), Kent Powell (Chiu), Cheryl Powell (Kanoa), her Sister Barbara Larson (Monte) and her brother Rocky Nunn (Gayle), 20 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Globe. Interment will be at Globe Cemetery, Globe, Arizona
