James Fergason was a devoted family man and loving husband. His greatest desire was to be a minister and to serve people and preach the gospel. Throughout his life this was his mission and he accomplished it with passion and sincerity. He was born to James Frederick Fergason and Dolores Bronson on December 21st 1956, the eldest of 3. He was raised in a God fearing home, along with two younger sisters: Melinda Brunton and Mary Kay Fortenberry. He attended Ozark Christian College where he met the love of his life, Cheryl Ann Fergason. They were married in May of 1978. Jim was the father of 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl: Jeremy, Zachary, Abigail, Jared, Elijah, and Meshach Fergason. Jim found his home in Globe, Arizona where he ministered to a local church and the community for 28 years. He had a passion for the elderly and frequently served them. One of the ministries he valued most was a help line where local citizens who needed assistance could call and request aid for any reason. Jim loved the Word of God. He went on a short-term missions trip to the Philippines in the mid-80‘s where he found inspiration in the peoples desire to listen to the Word for hours on end. Jim found his foundation in Christ. He loved people, he loved his family, and he loved God. He honored God with his life and he will be dearly missed. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, January 1, 2012 at 3:30 at River of Life Church in Central Heights, AZ .
