Francis Hinton

Francis Hinton, age 68, of San Carlos, AZ passed away on October 24, 2012 at Copper Mountain Inn Nursing Home in Globe, AZ . He was born in San Carlos, AZ on April 24, 1944, son of the late Virgil and Lettie Lindley Hinton, Sr. He attended Rice School and graduated from Stewart Indian High School in Carson City, Nevada. He later worked at a Gas Station. He was also a counselor for Alcoholics Anonymous. Francis liked to draw, write letters and was a good wood carver. He enjoyed playing Bingo and playing the Lottery. He had many friends who loved to be with him. He enjoyed watching sports and was a big fan of the Phoenix Suns, Diamond Backs and Arizona Cardinals. He enjoyed been outdoors fishing, hiking big mountains and swimming. After his accident in 1990 Francis took up drawing and became an artist. His art work is displayed at San Carlos Cultural Center, Mescalero Cultural Center and recently won best work at the 2012 Gila County Fair. Francis was most happy when he spent time with his family and grandchildren. Francis is survived by his daughter Francine Allen and three grandchildren: Kandin, Kindle and Sweetyboy Wake will be on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Hinton’s Residence in San Carlos, AZ Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at San Carlos Miracle Church. Interment will be at San Carlos Cemetery
