Roland J. Clark passed away on May 30, 2012, in his home in Miami, Arizona after a four year fight with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family when he passed. Roland was born in Sparta Wisconsin and lived most of his life in Chadron, Nebraska, where he went to school. One of his first jobs was working at Henkins Implement as a mechanic with his father Dallas, and then for the City of Chadron Water Dept. where he retired after 32 years of service. He became friends of many of City Hall. He loved his job and took pride in his work. Buck was an avid history buff. He found an error in the True West magazine and wrote to the editor and they made the correction and gave him credit in the next issue with his name. He was proud. Buck’s hobbies were fishing, hunting, reading and golf. Buck was preceded in death by his father, Dallas, his mother Alice Clark, his aunt Della Wilcox, nephew Brian Hilleson, grandparents Beulah and Lloyd Clark, Samuel and Mary Samuelson, numerous aunts and uncles. Buck is survived by his wife of 35 year, Sherry Clark, his son Curt Smith (Traci), his three daughters Belinda Clark, Karie Jones and Kim Zamora, his sister Brenda Hilleson (Steve), his brother Dallas Clark, Jr. (Angie), seven grandchildren Kellie, Weston, Sara, Brandon, Tristan, Talia and Kevin, one great grandson Rockwell, his uncle Odie Clark, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
