Matthew Jayden Descheny

Matthew “JJ” Jayden Descheny was 5 years old when he was taken home to heaven on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Ryan’s House in Phoenix, AZ from complications with a brain tumor. He was born August 10th, 2006 at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ to Matthew and Shirlene Descheny. He was a happy child who loved his family and friends. He was attending Kindergarten at San Carlos Rice Elementary. He was a member of the Hope Kids Foundation of Arizona and also granted a wish by Make-A-Wish Foundation in January of 2010. His two favorite things were watching the Wiggles and cheering on the Arizona Cardinals. Despite his diminishing health and physical handicap, he continued to be active in all walks of life. He is survived by his mother and father, Shirlene and Matthew and his brothers, Peyton (11) and Elias (3). He has numerous relatives and friends. The wake will be at 4:00 pm on Friday, May 18th, 2012 at the Descheny residence in Peridot, AZ. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at San Carlos Grace Lutheran Church in downtown San Carlos. The burial service will follow after the funeral service at Upper Peridot Cemetery. Reception will follow the burial service at the Descheny residence in Peridot, AZ. Lamont Mortuary of Globe is providing funeral arrangements.
