Alva Gene Jonovich, age 84, passed away on April 27, 2012. She was born to Todd and Virgie (Martin) Joy on March 28, 1928. She was born in Globe, Arizona and grew up in Young, Arizona. Later she moved to Globe where she worked at A.P.S. or at the time was known as Arizona Edison. While working there she met her future husband Dave Jonovich. They were married on June 3, 1950. Alva enjoyed crocheting, all kinds of hand work and visiting with her friends.. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave Jonovich and her brother “Boots” Joy. Alva is survived by her two daughters; Joy L. Brunker (Ken), and Tammy Dale (Allen), her sister Cappy Ridenhour, her three Grandchildren; Jason Brunker, Justin Brunker (Karen) and Kelly Kirschner (Jeff), one great grandchild Brooklyn Brunker, numerous nieces and nephews all of whom were very special to her. Funeral Services will be held Thurs. May 3, 2012 at 11;00 A.M. at First Christian Church – Globe, AZ Interment will be at Globe Cemetery Family requests memorials be sent to: Gila Food Bank – or any favorite charity of choice.
