Delbert Allen

Delbert Allen, age 50, of San Carlos, AZ passed away on April 22, 2012 at San Carlos Indian Hospital in San Carlos. He was born in San Carlos, Arizona on March 17, 1962 to Matthew and Drusilla (Dickens) Allen He met Ethelene Wiley on September 16, 1986 and married her at the Catholic Church on December 25, 1993 with Johnson Boni Jr. as his best man. Delbert attended the alternative school. He was raised in San Carlos and was a quiet humble person. He respected his elders, family, friends as well as others. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, taking long walks to the mountains and he enjoyed hanging out with his friends and cousins in his younger years he also enjoyed driving his mother to Seneca through the back roads. At around age 13 Delbert joined the Miracle Church choir and he enjoyed singing with the choirs. He had his own route to Seven Mile Wash corner, his wife and daughters called it “Boodie’s Corner”. Delbert resided with his family in Gilson Wash area. On October 1, 2000 he was baptized in the Catholic Church and received confirmation the same day. His Godparents were Curtis and Lorena Denver. Delbert was preceded in death by his mother Drusilla, Delbertl is survived by his wife Ethelena, his daughters Andrea and Anna Allen all of San Carlos, AZ, his father Matthew Allen, his four sisters; Rosalita Allen-Setoyant, Velva Sue Allen, Rebecca Allen Shorten and Carol Allen, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed spending time with. Wake will be on Sunday, April 29, 2012, @ 4:00 P.M. @ Allen’s Residence in San Carlos. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 30, 2012 @ 9:00 A.M. @ St. Charles Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will be at Northgate Cemetery.
