Betty Boyd

Betty Frances Boyd, age 88 of Globe, Arizona passed away on March 7, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare Nursing Home in Globe. She was born in Globe, Arizona on March 5, 1924. Daughter of Earl and Nora Frances (Huggins) Redfern. Betty was born at home on Hackney Street. Her great grandparents ran a boarding house in Globe before World War I. It was located where McSpadden Ford is now. Her grandfather Richard Bolivia registered for World War I in Globe. Betty was a loving homemaker all her life, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was kind and caring, one who was devoted to her family. Betty is survived by her children Fran Orr (Stuart) of Alexandria, VA, Johnnie Williams (Sue) of Oroville, CA, Naomi Winters and Edie Jessup (Brian) both from Fresno, CA, and Peter Burnsed of Bemidji, MN, her brother Tommy Mason of Florida, her aunt Mary Powers of Globe, AZ , 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, dozens of cousins, second and third cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held in private. Burial of ashes will be at Globe Cemetery with her mother Nora Lamar.
