Lucy Antonio

Lucy Antonio was born August 2, 1926 in Wheatfield, AZ and entered eternal rest March 11, 2012 in Mesa, AZ.. Lucy attended San Carlos Day School and East Fork Boarding School where she completed elementary and high school. Thereafter she attended vocational training in Albuquerque, NM where upon completion she received a certificate in nursing. Lucy returned to San Carlos and became employed as a nurse with San Carlos Indian Health Services. She retired May 6, 1985 after 36 years of dedicated service. Lucy raised numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an accomplished seamstress and created beautiful beadwork. She enjoyed arts and crafts, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son Donovan Antonio, father Ivan Antonio, Sr., mother Clara Casey Antonio, brothers Bradley Antonio, Ivan Antonio, Jr. and sisters Katie Antonio Hinton and Sadie Antonio. Wake was held March 17, 2012 @4pm Lucy Antonio’s Residence in Hallelujah Square and funeral on March 18, 2012 @1pm San Carlos Miracle Church with interment at Chinatown Cemetery.
