John Lewis Beams, Jr.

John Lewis Beams, Jr., age 74 of Cutter, Arizona passed away on March 5, 2012 at Cobre Valley Reginal Medical Center in Globe, AZ He was born in Gordo, Alabama on September 2, 1937. Son of John L Beams, Sr. and Ethel (O’Bryant) Beams. His family moved to Oregon where he graduated from high school in Jacksonville, Oregon. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Ord in California. After his honorable discharge from the Army, John went to work for Reichold Chemical Co. in Oregon. He retired in 1983 and moved to Arizona. He lived in Quartzite until 2011 when he moved to Globe. He loved to Bowl and travel with his teammates to different competitions. He enjoyed being with people and making new friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jerry Beams. John is survived by his brother Robert Flanders of Cutter, AZ, his sisters; Geneva Haas of Eagle Point, OR and Gypsy Muir of Seattle, WA Funeral Services will be held in private.
