Mary Ann Stevens

Mary Ann Stevens, age 67, of Peridot, Arizona passed away on January 30, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ She was born in Superior, Arizona on November 17, 1944, the daughter of Robert A. Burdette and Bernice Bread. She was married on July 24, 1979 to Henry Jay Stevens, Jr. She retired from 25 years in working with the San Carlos Apache Tribe and the San Carlos Indian Hospital in the setting of social services and health services. She was strong, traditional, funny, caring, giving of herself and blessed with a family that loved her. Mary is survived by her husband Henry “Jay” Stevens, Jr. her children; Jeanie Wiener (Scott), Bruce Dillon (Garlene) Milt Jefferson (Lillian), Marla Burdette, Jeremiah Stevens, Jerilyn Stevens, J.D. Stevens (Shaun), her brothers and sisters; Rosalind White (Duane), Robert Burdette, Jr. (Patricia), Verna Stevens (Albert), Josephine Irving (Eugene), Vernalda Porter (Jeffrey), Melinda Roubidoux (Jonas), Andrew E. Burdette, Sharon Burdette, Harding Burdette (Brenda) Ricardo Burdette (Neva), Arlene Holmes (Eldridge, Jr.), Sarah Goode (Mitchell), Samuel Meade, Sr. (Sharon), four Goddaughters; Cynthia Patten, Sonya Wesley, Wendy Allen and Sinetta Brown, 30 grandchildren, 9 Great- grandchildren and many relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed. Wake: Sat. Feb. 4, 2012 @ 4:00 P.M. @ Steven’s Residence in @ Peridot Siding Rd. Funeral Services: Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 @ 1:00 P.M. @ San Carlos Miracle Church. Interment will be at Chinatown Cemetery
