Orville Eugene Mathews

Orville Eugene Mathews (Papa) was born on October 20, 1933,in Jasper, TN, left us on this day January 6, 2012. The son of Luther and Lillian Mathews. Papa retired as a master mechanic and truck driver at age 75 and devoted himself to his family. Always there with a story to cheer you up, a smile when you needed it and always the first to offer help in any situation. He loved to spend time outdoors, whether it was fishing, yard work, or just bird watching. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by his parents Lillian and Luther Mathews, his brother Luther Mathews, Jr., his sister Lillian I. Mathews, his daughters; Roxanna Mathews and Janet McNutt, and his grandson Kyle Poeling. Orvile is survived by his wife Norma Roe, his daughters Kipper Poeling and Iva Mathews,both of Globe, AZ, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two brothers Jack Mathews and Ronnie Mathews of Globe, and two sisters Betty Jeffcoat of Phoenix, and Clara Roach of Dacoma, OK Graveside services will be held on Sat. January 21, 2012 @ 3:00 P.M. @ Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, AZ
