Fay York Hunter, age 92 of Globe, Arizona passed away on December 10, 2011 at Arizona Regional Medical Center in Mesa. She was born in Pleasanton, New Mexico on March 18, 1919. Daughter of George and Mildred (Darnell) York. Fay moved to Globe coming from Oregon after living there for 12 years. She and her husband developed and started the saw mill in Cutter which later was sold in the early 1960’s. They then bought and began to developing the Crestline area. Fay loved to paint and was an accomplished artist. Enjoyed playing Golf and traveling. She was a loving homemaker, keeping an immaculate home and yard. Her happiest times were being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Aaron Hunter. Fay is survived by her son Bryan Hunter (Karen), her daughters Aaron F. McCarey and Rana Hunter-Williams (George), seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held in private. Interment was at Globe Cemetery.
