IRVE REYNOLDS JOHNSON, 82, of Globe, passed away December 1, 2011 at his residence in Globe. Born in Kansas City, MO to Arthur and Blanche Johnson, he graduated from Paseo High School. He joined the Army in 1946 where he was involved in the occupation of Japan and earned 2 medals for his work. He returned to Kansas City where he helped on farms and did a stint with the US Postal Sevice. In 1953 he came to Globe prospecting uranium and met his wife-to-be, Ursula Gonzales. They were married in 1956 and started a family. Irve worked in the office supply business; even owning and operating Irve Johnson Office Supply. He the worked for Safeway; attaining status of produce manager in Globe and as Store Manager in Miami. Then in 1966, he went to work for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Co. at the Christmas mine and ending up in Miami where he helped install their first computer system. He became their information systems director there and held that position until his retirement in 1986. During his tenure there, he obtained his degree from ASU in Quantitative Systems. Preceded in death by his daughter Lorraine Johnson. He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Ursula, daughters Jennifer Culpepper and Lynette Fuller(Lance), both of Globe, twin sons Craig(Carolina) of Ahwahtukee, AZ and Curtis(Debra) of Mesa, AZ. , a sister Yvonne Bull(Norman) of Roanoke, VA, and 10 grandchildren; Eric, Bret, and Amie Culppeper, Kaitlyn Ramos, Chad, Chance, and Chandler Fuller, Kyle, Rryan, and Tate Johnson. Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at 9:00 AM, Rosary at 9:30AM, and Mass at 10:00 AM , all at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Broad St. in Globe. Interment will be in Globe Cemetery. The family suggests donations to either Copper Communities Hospice, 136 S. Broad St., Globe, AZ 85501 or the Globe American Legion, 645 S. Broad St., Globe, AZ 855501
