Our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother passed away October 12, 2011 at Banner Baywood in Mesa, Arizona. Caroline Cody was born to Frank and Eva (Snow) Sisto on January 26, 1939 in San Carlos, Arizona. Caroline Cody was the first woman of San Carlos to become a Tribal Council Leader. She also worked as Director of Enrollment for the Tribe and for the Cattle office Wildlife Recreation. Caroline was a woman of many skills and talents. She was a bomb maker at Tally Industries she also learned to cut diamonds in Mesa. She loved the outdoors and was a skilful trapper, trapping Fox, Coyote and Bob cat. Enjoyed going fishing, cutting wood, working and planting in her yard. She also was an excellent seamstress, making clothes for her entire family, dolls for the kids and cradleboards. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her two sons Ambrose Sisto and Steve Cody. Caroline is survived by her husband of 41 years William Cody, her two sons Wilford Polk (Alexix), Leonard Polk and Napoleon Leonard, her four daughters Delphine Talnagi, Veronica Antonio, Pamela Black (Larry), Christina Cody, her three step-sons Scotty, James & Tom Cody, her brother Earldean Sisto and her sister Isabelle Sisto. 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Wake will be on Sat. October 22, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. @ Cody’s Residence in 7-Mile. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, October 23, 2011 @ 1:00 P.M. @ Burdette Hall – San Carlos, AZ Interment will be at Hilltop Cemetery – San Carlos, AZ
