Edward Maddox, age 73 of Miami, AZ passed away on August 10, 2011 at Cobre Valley Reginal Med. Ctr. He was born in Cottonwood Falls in Kansas on December 1937. Son of Edward and Martha Ann (Walker) maddox He worked as a Foreman for a Powerline Construction Co. and constructed power lines all over the country. He was a resident of Arizona for 25 years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and it gave him the opportunity to see the world. He sailed around the world seven times, went through the Panama Canal, around Cape of Good Hope, sailed every ocean went to every continent except Antartica. While employed with Stafford Construction Co. he got the opportunity to work in Saudi Arabia and Iraq He had the honor to shake hands with President Ford. Preceded in death by his wife Patricia Maddox,his son Donald E. Maddox, his parents, his sister Alice Cahoone and brother Joseph Galentine. Edward is survived by his sister Gwen Brown of Hoisington, Kansas and his brother Dennis Maddox of Lincolnville Kansas. Interment of cremains will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Cottonwood Falls, KS
