Jeffrey William Burke

JEFFREY WILLIAM BURKE, a installation techician for Cable One for the last 12 years, passed away May 26, 2011 at his residence. He was 38. Born to James Burke and Joy Ashcraft in Hawthorne, NV, he moved to Globe when he was 1. Raised in Globe, he graduated from Globe High School in 1991 and later attended Yavapai Community College in Prescott where he studied auto mechanics. He moved back to Globe where he was employed as a stockman for Wal-Mart, a truck driver for BHP Copper at Pinto Valley, and finally Cable One. He loved being outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, playing softball, Four-wheeling, Jet-skiing,and fishing. He also loved spending time with family & friends. He is survived by his children: Jeffrey "J.J.", Nicholas "Nic", and Stephanie Burke, all of Globe, mother: Joy Philpot(Nolan) of Globe, father: James Michael Burke(Kathy) of Reno, NV, sister: Nichole Salcido of Tucson, AZ, and brothers: James M.Burke, Jr. of Sparks, NV, Geoff and George DeForno, both of Reno, NV. He was also survived by his companion for the last 2 years: Jennifer Myers of Prescott, AZ Memorial Sevices will be Saturday, June 4, 2011 - 10:00 AM at the Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge, 1910 E. Maple St., Globe. Interment will be private.
