Opal E. Spitler, age 86, of Globe Arizona passed away on May 7, 2011 at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson. She was born in Greentown, Ohio on Janurary 7, 1925. Daughter of Howard & Edna Hartong. Opal moved to Arizona in 1952, where she was a hard working home maker and mother. She was married to the late Paul Eugene Spitler. Enjoyed playing the organ and watching her favorite movies. She loved going out to eat and had an extensive doll collection. She also traveled a lot and liked to tell her stories about her adventures. Preceded in death by her husband Paul Spitler, her daughters, Patricia Shelby & Shirley Carroll, her son Stanley Spitler, her two brothers; Howard and Ralph Hartong. Opal is survived by her sons; Berry and Curley Spitler, her daughter Verlene Breckinridge, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- greatgrandchildren Visitation will be on Friday, may 13, 2011 @ 12:00 Noo @ Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel Interment will be at Globe Cemetery Opal E.
