Paul Thompson, Sr. age 81, of Peridot, Arizona passed away on May 2, 2011 at his residence in Peridot, AZ He was born and grew up in Old San Carlos, Arizona on February 1, 1930. Son of Joseph and Agnes Thompson, Sr. He was one of the youngest stockman to work for the San Carlos Apache Tribe. Enjoyed playing sports in particular baseball. He started and managed a team called The Peridot “A’s” and they played all over the state in tournaments. He also liked to go hunting and fishing and spending time with family. He served his country proudly in the U.S. army during W.W. II Paul is survived by his wife Euella Thompson, his children Paul Thompson, Jr., Orzella Sam, Nathaniel Thompson, Merle Thompson, Jerald Thompson, Bernard Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Peggy Bullis and Teri Stanley, his sisters; Tessie Mull, Genevieve Bylas, Josephine Dosela, 34 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Wake will be on Friday, May 6, 2011 @ 4;00 P.M. @ Thompson’s Residence – Peridot, AZ Funeral Services will be on Sat. May 7, 2011 @ 1:00 P.M. @ Peridot Lutheran Church, in Peridot, AZ Interment will be at San Carlos Veteran’s Cemetery in San Carlos, AZ
