Sharon Ann Arrona entered into her eternal life in heaven on April 29, 2011. She left this life after giving her all to beat an aggressive brain tumor. Sharon was born on June 14,1949 in Miami, Florida. She lived there until the age of five, when a severe case of asthma prompted a move out west to Tucson, Arizona in 1954. She lived in Tucson with her mom, Sylvia Dame and attended Tucson and Rincon High Schools. She continued her education at Cochise Community College and earned an Associate of Arts degree in English. After college she worked as a teacher’s aide in hopes of one day becoming an elementary school teacher. As an after work diversion, she entertained customers by singing some of her favorite songs at a local restaurant. In 1974, she married the man that would not take no for an answer. In 1972, she met Ray Arrona and began dating him after falling for his “sales” pitch. They married a little over a year later and lived in Tucson until 1976 when a job opening took them to Atlanta, Georgia. It was in Atlanta that they became parents of two children, Alyson and Ryan. Many happy years were spent in Georgia and included such traditions as traveling to Helen, Georgia’s Octoberfest, vacations in Destin, Florida and numerous happy Easter’s spend at Calloway Gardens. In 2001, Ray, Sheri and Alyson returned to Arizona and were later joined by Ryan in 2004. Sheri and her family created many new special memories here that involved time spent with relatives in Miami/Globe, Arizona, eating the best Mexican food and sharing love and laughter with those that meant the most to her. Sheri also had great passion for her pets, Angel, Goldie and Tony. She also found great reward in the peace she experienced whenever she visited the ocean. God Bless this wonderful wife, mother and friend. May your soul soar high until we are reunited in heaven. Predeceased by her mother Sylvia Dame and half sister Karen Sue Blackwell, Sheri is survived by her husband of 36 years, Raymond Arrona, daughter, Alyson Arrona, son, Ryan Arrona – all of the Valley, and step-son Ray Arrona of Bremerton, WA, half siblings, Ann O’Roake of Litchfield, IL, Rick Breckenridge of Brownsburg, IN, Sharon Clarke of Tomball, TX, and cousin Pam Jastremski of Casselberry, FL.
