* OBITUARY * Melvin Shedd, age 57,left this world as he entered it (fighting to live) being two months premature only gave him a head start. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on April 8, 1953 and attended school at Hayden until the fourth grade. The family moved to El Paso, Texas until the early 70’s. Moving back to Globe, AZ Melvin graduated from Globe High School in 1971. Melvin worked most of his life at Inspiration Mines as a Lube Mechanic. In 1984 he and a friend Randy Johnson opened a motorcycle shop in Globe called Central Arizona Motor Cycle. Another great adventure was the Moose Lodge when he labored for several years even as president, traveling the state for many functions. He took his responsibilities very seriously. He was preceded in death by his parents Noble Shedd and Josephine Shedd. Melvin is survived by his brothers Alvin T. Shedd of Dripping Springs, AZ and Joe W. Shedd (Joann) of Phoenix, AZ his sister Wanda M. Tucker of Winkelman, AZ and many friends and extended family. A potluck celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post #4 in Globe, AZ from 2:30 – 4:30 P.M. on Sat. April 16, 2011. Come let us remember.
