Erlinda De La Torre

Erlinda De La Torre, age 92, passed away St. December 11, 2010 at her residence in Globe. She was born in Globe, Arizona, daughter of Salome Cuevas Carrizosa and Rodolfo Carrizosa in their home on February 22, 1918. She was third child followed by two sons and one more daughter. They were all borin the family home on Mayss Street. Erlinda grew up in Globe. She went to Globe schools and always stayed close to the family. She never moved away from the area. She met Cruz De La Torre at a dance for a friends wedding. Soon a relationship formed and they were joined in marriage. A daughter Rachel V. De La Torre was born and she became the center of this family as she was born with severe health problems. Rachel was the only child this couple had. Erlinda was the last of her generation and we who remain need to remember all we learned from this generation that has passed. Erlinda is preceded in death by her husband Cruz, her daughter Rachel, her parents and all her siblings. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins second and third generations, two granddaughters; Lalena and Ramona Salome, four great grandchildren and many in-laws and life long friends. We will mis her dearly and remember her always with great love and affection. Funeral services were held at Devine Grace Presbyterian Church in Miami, AZ
