On January 9, 2011 Marjorie Mae Cosgrove of Lakeside passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side to entr the heavenly gates of heaven to be with the Lord. She was born in globe, Arizona on July 29, 1914 the second child of Arthur L. and laura G. Miller and spent most of her young years growing up in Phoenix with her two brothers Robert E. and Arthur L. Miller. She was a proud graduate of Phoenix Union High School and often sang the school fight song "On Coyotes" for her family and friends. She married John B. Cosgrove on March 6, 1943 in California but later returned to her beloved Globe, Arizona where she was a nurse at Gila General Hospital for 40 years caring for so many people. The most beautiful gift she had for everyone was her unconditional love and she always found the best in each person. Marjorie enjoyed watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and that pastime was highlighted when she was able to meet her "most favorite pitcher of all" Randy Johnson. She was the "shining star upon a huge family tree" and is survived by her two daughters Dorothy E. Ray (David) of Globe and Jacqueline B. Faulkner (David) of Lakeside, five grandchildren, Donald Strickland, Thomas Strickland (Kris), Robert Wolf (Lesley), George Wolf (Angie) and Steven Wolf (Debbie), three step grandchildren, David, Becky and John Faulkner, twenty great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren and so many nieces and nephews that knew her as "Auntsie Marge." Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband John of forty-one years and daughter Laura Jean Cosgrove. A "Celebration of Her Life" wil be held on Sat. January 15, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe. A special memorial in lieu of flowers has been established in Marjorie's name at Hospice Compassus - 1789 W. Commerce Drive, Lakeside, AZ 85929. The loving care she received from Hospice will always be remembered by her family.
