Charles Pollar Astor, "Eddie" a member of the san Carlos Tribe died on December 3, 2010 in San Carlos, Arizona. he was born June 19, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico son of Evangelin Astor and Grady Pollard. He was raised by his grandparents Lucy and Danny Astor. As a young boy he cared for his grandparents cattle and horses. He staarted his first job at 8 years old and later forced to attend school. He graduated from St Johns in Phoenix, Arizona where he participated and played many sport. He attended Haskell Jr. College where he majored in Accounting and met his ex-wife Donna Marie English and began a family. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1977 and had an honorable discharge in 1980. In his spare time he played baseball and was an umpire. Among his adult years he became a recovered alcoholic. He was proud to maintain his sobriety. AZHe worked for the San Carlos Wellness Team. He was a great storyteller and full of many jokes with a great sense of humor. He was involved in the Apache Holy Ground traditions and continued his Catholic religion. He loved to sing and dance. Eddie is survived and loved by his four children; David E. Astor, Feather S. Astor, Ace S. Astor and Sequoia C. Astor and five grandchildren. Wake: Fri.
