George Edward Hicks

George Edward ?Edd? Hicks, age 64 of Globe, Arizona passed away on Thurs. January 15, 2001, at Cobre Valley Reg. Medical Ctr. In Globe, AZ. He was born in Hoodriver, Oregon on December 16, 1946. Son of James and Norma Hicks. Edd moved to Arizona as an infant. He graduated from A.S.U. He was a lifeguard at the Central Pool. He also was a longtime coach for the volleyball, track, cross country and girls basketball team for Globe High School. As an AIA referee he refereed the softball and baseball games. He volunteered as a firefighter for the Globe Fire Dept. Edd enjoyed running, camping, fishing and being outdoors. He owned and operated Edd?s Pool Service. Served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war.Edd is survived by his two children JoDawn Hicks and Shane Hicks both of Globe.
