William Battraw

William (Bill) Battraw,Jr., age 68, husband of Linda, died peacefully in his home January 9, 2011. Bill served four years in the Marines Corps. He retired as Weapons Test Manager after 34 years with Boeing. Bill has lived at Roosevelt Lake for 13 years pursuing his love of fishing and the outdoors. He proudly became an EMT to volunteer at the Cobre Valley Medical Center Emergency room and was also a volunteer with Gila County Search and Rescue. In addidtion to his wife of 50 years he leaves behind his children Michael Battraw (Nadine), Paul Battraw, Alicia Booker (Edward), and David Battraw, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. His sisters Tina Weaver (Jim), Arlene Weiner (Mark), his brother Leo Battraw. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen and his brother Raymond B. Battraw. Visitation will be held on Mon. January 17, 2011 at 9:00 A.M., Rosary will be at 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. held at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, AZ. Burial of ashes will take place at Sant Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, CA. In lieu of flowers donation to St. Teresa ramp fund would be appreciated.
