They shared 3 children Vanessa Barajas (Reyes), R.J, Tarango (Lisa), and Melissa Tarango who passed away in 1996. Teresa is survived by her mother Helen Ybarra who she loved with all her heart. They were the casino buddies! Teresa had 1 sister, Liz Atilano (Art), and 3 brothers, Manuel (Cindy), Albert, and David Ybarra. Teresa enjoyed family gatherings more than anything. Her sister who she loved dearly grew up very close. Her sister Liz was always Teresa's partner and they went together everywhere. Her brother Manuel who was always the protector of the family and he always checked up on Teresa and made sure she was ok. Her brother David was the calm brother and taught her to live life to be happy and calm. Lastly her brother Albert was her "crime partner". They were two peas in a pod, and shared many adventures together. Teresa Loved her children more than life. She loved her grandchildren even more. Teresa had 9 grandchildren. Katrin Barajas of Mesa, Elexa Barajas, Reyes Barajas, Melissa Barajas, and Rayea Barajas of Globe, Jocelyn Tarango of Flagstaff, Jacob Puzzi of Mesa, Ryan and Jason Tarango of Globe. These children she would do anything for. She wanted nothing more than to be with her children and grandchildren. Teresa also loved her Tarango Family they all shared such great memories that she held close to her heart. She was the silly, talkative, that crazy Grammie who her grandchildren and children loved so much. Teresa worked at Circle K for years and then worked at the Globe High School Bookstore. Teresa was a class sponsor for both her children Vanessa and Rj's classes. She made bonds with so many coworkers and students. Teresa loved being around kids. So many of the friendships she made there, still were with her until she passed. Teresa also had many Nieces and Nephews that she also loved dearly and would do anything for. Teresa faced many obstacles in life from losing her daughter, having cancer, having so many different types of illnesses, and everyday life obstacles. She always got through everything though, she never gave up, and she was positive she would always get better. Teresa struggled to get well these last 6 months but with the help of her children, grandchildren, and family she fought hard to make it to Christmas and New Years so she could spend it with her children and grandchildren. Teresa made that goal and just couldn't hang on anymore. She enjoyed her family, tamales, and menudo and was so happy and full of joy. She fought hard till the very last breath she took. Teresa is now in heaven joined by her daughter Melissa holding each other and making up for the last 26 years. Teresa is right where she wanted to be, to be reunited with her baby girl Melissa Tarango. Teresa will be missed by so many family and friends but most of all her children and grandchildren.
Rest in paradise with Melissa and other family and we will all see you again
